A 3-hour private booking (e.g., 2:00pm–5:00pm) is the most popular choice among Hong Kong parents — long enough for everything, short enough that kids do not melt down. The key is pacing: a well-planned schedule flows effortlessly; a poorly planned one means half your guests leave before the cake. Here is the timeline we recommend, refined over hundreds of parties.
00:00 – 00:30 | Guest arrival
Hong Kong guests tend to run a little late, so allow a full 30 minutes for arrivals. Adults chat, kids warm up and start playing, and Baby E Playhouse staff handle venue orientation so you can greet guests at the door.
Tip: set up a gift table near the entrance so guests can drop off presents as they arrive.
00:30 – 01:00 | Opening: birthday song, candles, cake
Once everyone has arrived, it is showtime — birthday song, candle blowing and cake cutting in one smooth sequence. These 30 minutes are the golden window for photos: full attendance, fresh kids, and the themed backdrop at its best. Assign a photographer or a designated friend in advance.
Baby E Playhouse provides cake cutting service — we slice and serve so parents are not stuck behind the cake table.
01:00 – 01:45 | Food and play
With the ceremony done, guests enjoy food and drinks while kids burn energy on the play facilities. This is the one stretch where parents can actually sit down and chat.
Basic drinks and party supplies are included; bringing your own food is completely fine — tables and utensils are ready for you.
01:45 – 02:15 | Party games (optional)
After food, a group game pulls everyone back together: pass-the-parcel, musical chairs or charades work best for ages 3-8. Small stickers and toys are plenty for prizes — participation is the point.
Prefer no games? Free play is absolutely fine too — the beauty of a private booking is that nobody rushes your schedule.
02:15 – 02:45 | Free play and photos
As the party winds down, kids keep playing while parents capture photos of the birthday child with different family and friend combinations in front of the backdrop. Take the big group photo around 02:30 while attendance is still full.
02:45 – 03:00 | Wind down and departure
The final 15 minutes are for party favours, thank-yous and gathering belongings. Baby E Playhouse handles all venue cleaning — you simply head home.
