"I'd like a 'mushroom and bunny' theme — can you do it?" That was the mum's first WhatsApp message before the morning session on 30 May. The answer, of course: yes.

The Mum's Original Idea: Mushroom + Bunny
A three-year-old girl is still at the soft, easily-moved, animal-loving age. Booking on WhatsApp, the mum gave two keywords — mushroom and bunny — wanting a warm, soft palette, not too sharp or cartoony. We put together: a cream-based backdrop with 3D mushrooms and soft bunny elements, like a storybook illustration; and a cake table echoing the backdrop with the same mushroom-and-bunny props. After confirming the visuals, the mum ordered a custom cake that also carried mushroom and bunny elements — so the moment it went on the table, the whole cake table looked like a fairytale set.

What made this party special: the ceremony was moved up to 11am. Afternoon sessions usually cut the cake after the meal, but three-year-olds are freshest and most camera-ready early on, so we agreed with the mum to schedule cake time at 11am — ceremony first, relaxation after. Almost every great shot in the album was captured in that half-hour.
Three Highlights
1. From abstract idea to complete visual. From one WhatsApp line to the backdrop, cake table and custom cake — three elements in harmony, none out of place. The moment Chelsey walked in and saw the "mushroom bunny house," her eyes said it all: this was her day.
2. Photographer and staff in sync. From setup onward, staff aligned with the photographer: when to shoot the family portrait, the best angle for the cake cutting, the light and angle of the cake table. A plain venue rental can't do this — ceremony timing is the team's craft, and a great album depends on team-photographer sync.
3. "Well-behaved from start to finish" — a review a mum remembers forever. A three-year-old's biggest variable is mood — stage fright, tiredness, refusing photos all happen. From 10 to 1, Chelsey was well-behaved throughout and cooperated with every ceremony. We think that's no accident: the venue is spacious so she didn't feel crowded; the pace was relaxed, not forced; and staff didn't over-intervene, letting her set her own pace.
